Pakakuna Gardens Homes for Sale in Ecuador
We also would like to note that Pakakuna Gardens is located on the eastern side of the Andes mountain range, closer to the Amazon Basin and a full day’s drive from the coast, thus we are less prone to the effects of major earthquakes. While we do feel the tremors, there has been no damage to any of our buildings, which adhere to the highest standards and building codes.

In light of the major devastation on the coast of Ecuador after the earthquake in April and the aftershocks, we feel the need to address the construction here at Pakakuna Gardens. Most of the damage on the coast was in older areas, where people lived in shanties or old and poorly constructed cement buildings that could not withstand a major natural disaster. There has also been a lack of oversight for high rise construction on the coast and building codes have not been enforced as they should be.
In order to address valid concerns for prospective buyers, we would like to assure everyone that here at Pakakuna Gardens we are committed to using only the highest quality and methods of construction, and all of the homes for sale here are new. The architect, Patricio Falconi, is very famous in Ecuador. Here is a link to an article about his involvement in Pakakuna Gardens. Patricio Falconi and Pakakuna Gardens
